Take this recipe and use it ASAP. Why? Because the queen of country AND the kitchen shared her famous biscuit recipe and if she uses it – it’s good!
I talked to Trisha Yearwood last week on the phone and brought to her my biscuit dilemma and she solved my issue… Use a different recipe! hahaha SO obviously I had to share!
EASIEST MUFFINS (AKA DROP BISCUITS)
1 cup (2 sticks) margarine, softened
1 cup sour cream
2 cups self-rising flour
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. In an electric mixer, mix the margarine and sour cream. Add the flour and mix well. Drop large spoonfuls of the dough into a muffin pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray or lined with muffin cups. Bake for 25 minutes, or until the tops of the muffins are golden brown.
**For cheesy garlic muffins, add ½ cup grated Cheddar cheese and ¼ teaspoon garlic powder before dropping into muffin pans.
